The stay at Jumeirah Vittaveli had been great. Probably one of the best resorts we had stayed in. Private infinity pool, direct access to the water, super big room, private butler and 24/7 on-call buggy ride. Of cos it's the most expensive one we ever stayed :(
Going on a vacation to the Maldives means you won't have to plan much. You will end up spending a lot of time in the room which you paid so much for :D A trip to its capital, Male, is a short boat ride away. Just get yourself a guide(can't remember how much but very affordable) and you are set to go!
You can explore Male easily on foot and it's so much different from the resorts that are mainly catered for tourists. Male is laid back and modest and a sense of reality going to the wet market and the typical shop houses and restaurants.
Photography gears - GoPro 3, Sony NEX F3 with 16-50mm OSS, Nikon D800E with Nikon 17-35mm f2.8 & 50mm f1.8.
We still cycled out pretty much every time instead of calling for the buggy. Guess we were not so used to the luxury..
The very first view when you entered from the main door.
Our rich neighbours. Super private and exclusive, first row seats to the blue horizon. 24/7 yacht service to pick them up to shore... Yes, you guess it right, its not connected via boardwalk, its basically in the middle of the ocean only accessible via a boat.
Still I couldn't ask for more... We slept well ;)
Our Male day trip.
Our guide brought us to the local market to try the local food.
Jetty where the locals seek shelter from the sun while waiting for their boat.
Dinner by the sea.
Goodbye for now.
Couldn't be more true than this.. they knew it..
